"It has just come to my attention that La Sierra University has taken on a new evolutionary biologist. As of this month LSU signed on Raul Diaz as an assistant biology professor. Loma Linda University has also hired Diaz as an adjunct assistant professor in their department for perinatal biology.
Diaz is currently working on finishing up his PhD in anatomy and cell biology from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. His special interests include evolutionary developmental biology (especially of reptiles and amphibians) as well as molecular biology and morphology..." see article here
Again, we ask the question. Is the leadership in the church really doing anything to stop this problem at LSU. We urge you to send you children elsewhere.

Many know so little about their Bibles that they are unsettled in the faith. They remove the old landmarks, and fallacies and winds of doctrine blow them hither and thither. Science, falsely so-called, is wearing away the foundation of Christian principle; and those who once were in the faith drift away from the Bible landmarks, and divorce themselves from God, while still claiming to be His children.--Review and Herald, Dec. 29, 1896. We can thank God that the president of this conference, Jay Galimore, has noticed the problems occuring at La Sierra University and he has taken a stand. This is not an easy thing for anyone to do, especially someone in his postion. Actually, his actions as well as the Michigan Conference Executive Committee are commendable. Let's encourage and pray for all our conference leaders to take a similar stand. Pray this conference remains a faithful watchman.
May 25, 2010 "The Michigan Conference Executive Committee (MCEC), citing “apostasy”, votes to
* remove LSU from eligibility for tuition subsidy for Michigan Conference employees;
* “notify Michigan Conference members that we do not believe that La Sierra can currently be trusted to be supportive of Seventh-day Adventist spiritual values…”.
